• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all!

After many hours, i'm ready to release my gmax windsock. This my first release to the flight sim community and asking for some feedback on your thoughts before releasing it. It will be a free-ware project and dont really care if anybody alters it but would appriciate some recogintion if it were to be used in other scenery projects. Also i must thank everybody who took the time to answer any questions i have had and a special thanks to Arno for having this great site and creating the special tools in which has helped us all one way or another. Just post if anybody is interested in testing it for me.

About the windsock. it is created with three different mdls. to represent different wind speeds...calm, moderate, and windy. All three mdls. rotate to wind and depending on wind speed, only that model will show. I have created 3 different effects to create a obslight, floodlights, and ground light. Also created are 3 different controller effects which correct the problem of effects not showing up when departing a different airport then where the effects are located. Also is a custom texture to be used for the windsock.

Again, if your interested, just post here and i will upload it to the site. Aagain thanks for all the help...its greatly appriciated.

Hi Dave,

Sure, I would love to take a look at it. And when you feel it is completely ready, just upload it to the Object market (I moved this question out of there, as that forum is only for uploading objects). I am sure other designers would appreciate that.

Indeed, I would love to see this. I have a Waving flag version of this nearly ready as well.

Certainly. I could use a windsock. Somebody poked a toe through my last one!

Hey All!
Sorry for the delay, had a family emergency over the weekend and couldn't put the windsock, i will have it up in a couple hours as soon as i get to my personal computer

Here it is..and a screen shot. Like i said, this is my first upload of any scenery so any suggestions would be appriciated. And again, this is a freeware scenery.
