• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Attached Objects Not showing from lib.bgl

Latest Development release.

Looking through a compiled library, I was trying to find the effect attached to one of the models (there are over 240 models in the bgl file)

Having found the model, the attached effects (red-boxes) show as expected.

The "attached objects" dialog is blank, however.

A CLUE:

I decided to "add an effect attachpoint" ... which modelconverter did, but it attached it to the first model in the library.

It would seem the dialog is not reading information from the model loaded in the preview, but perhaps the first model in the library.

Not an issue with a MDL file, but is an issue with a bgl.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Looks like a bug that slipped in with the new interface. I made things more independent, but it seems the attached object editor is not notified correctly of the object changes. I am going to check it right away.

Hi,

I can't reproduce the issue here. How do you select the objects? I tried both with the arrow buttons and with the object list form. But I see the attached object editor being updated.

Hi,

I have found it now. The condition was that you need to select from the object list and then open the attached object editor. In that case the wrong object was altered. Will be fixed in the next development release.
