Might as well show you guys what I have been tinkering with. KRSW is giving me a headache as for some reason or another I am getting CTDs as soon as I get near Naples or Tampa, and if I load directly from KRSW, I can be only in cockpit view and be looking down RWY 6. So with the incoming arrival of my twin girls, I figured that I would be awake most of the night anyways, and might as well make good use of it. Plus it gets me back into using 3dsMax as it was intented....making models... (no dig at scenery makers at all). Plus it helps me get back into the groove of the EC155.

Bro, that's awesome news! I remember last snapshots from the VC and they are staggering! Keep up the great work and congrats once again for those beautiful babies.

Sergio.
;)

Thanks to Mark, Bill, and Sergio for giving giving me tips on the best way to map this...Also got some more detail added in, along with cleaning up the mesh and re-doing the nose section..

Haven't decided yet Sean. Redoing the fuselage right now. Wasn't happy with the way it looked at some angles...

Went back to the orginal fuselage as the 3 views did not look at all like the original aircraft once I meshed it out....While the mesh looked great, the shape was completely off....So I redid the fuselage again, using what I learned about quads...

New fuselage next to original

Starting on the chin bubble using a different method. Started by extruding the center out in the shape I wanted and then extruding again to get the roundness I needed.... (with turbosmooth active)

Finished chin bubble showing the smoothness of the reflection. no lumps or bumps compared to the previous version....Very happy with this.

Goal for today has been accomplished....Got the nose done, and adjusted the bulge in the cockpit door where it meets the nose.

Nate

That's a beauty and you're overcoming all modeling challenges swiftly.

Keep up the great work!
Sergio.

Looks great bro. I saved this the other day as I wanted to do a new model later the road, maybe you might have a use for it ;)

Thanks George and Sergio! Still not 100% happy with the new fuselage, especially right at the rear door. The indents there are really confusing on how to correctly model it.
