• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

I have already done OBBI as it was my first Project I am not very happy With the textures. Also major changes are going on at the airport including New terminal under Construction so will redo it when the terminal is finished. Also have done a mesh for Bahrain. Even Bahrain is relatively flat there is a few peaks in the desert. I am also working on OBKH at the moment. This is mainly used for royal flights, state visits and airshows. Also have a skyline Project of the city and a few other Things going on.

OBBI as it is per now With photoscenery around the airport perimeters

Still a ton of work to do.

My dream finally come true! Thank you for doing this airport. Please forget the future terminal for now its so much better now, you know rich in culture and heritage lol.

Also have you checked Flickr? millions of photos of Bahrain airport let me know if you want me to link you up and do you want to create old doha airport? i got like a million photos of all major buildings :)

This is great! We've been without a good OBBI for too long. The photoscenery is very nice and seems to be well-annotated with the autogen. Can't wait!

I see that you do have a custom ground poly, but only for the markings. Would you consider making custom runways etc as well?

Thanks guys. Surely I will not discard the old terminal as I like this terminal. Bahrain airport is the best airport I have ever used in real life. Very efficient even it is small and tight. But surely I will do the New terminal also when it is completed. New textures and a few other Things is required anyway and I will now Complete Sakhir first. I am 100% sure I will not have time to do Doha as the Bahrain Project is already a big one for a long time. Not been on Flickr for photos but have like 500 photos from airside taken by myself. Still need 500 more photos I think so if there are a good Source on flickr please let me know :-)

Benjamin: Yes I have a few custom ground polys but the rest is by ADE. I want to make it completely custom and will probably Experiment With Sakhir first as it is smaller and easier than OBBI. Glad you liked the photoscenery :-)

That's great Ivar, you're on your way to making something very pretty here! Full custom ground polies for the airport would truly give it that 'payware' feel ;)

Given that you've already made some custom markings it seems to me that you know how to make and place them, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask! I managed to make a full custom ground poly for my project after a long time of reading tutorials and watching Youtube videos, so if I can save you any of that pain, I'd be happy too.

Thank you very much for Your offer Benjamin. Much appreciated and I would typically study for many many hours before asking someone. Good to know I can Reach out to you. I would love to make the Complete ground from scratch to get a more realistic feel. After I Complete all the models and textures then I will start looking into it. All the ground markings I have done so far is placed With ADE. Will try to blend in a photo for this airport also. At least there is only one season to attend here on this small country big Project… :-)
