Hi all
I'm brand new to scenery design and created my first map last week using PS to edit the .bmp and create a black bordered blend mask using the _B channel, however it never worked when checking in FS. I located the LC texture file and color matched it, then noticed this texture is for Spring, so I added the _SP tag and it seems to have corrected the problem. I'm not really sure that fixed it because I tried a number of things at the same time.
Then just to experiment I edited the .bmp again to clean up some dirt roads with a light tan color. I did not add a new layer, just painted over the background. When I checked my work in FS these areas now have a foggy color, as well as all the dirt on the map. It may have been doing that before the edit and I just didn't notice because I was using the overhead view alone, but recently started using slew to check things more closely.
My question is this: is it possible that the _W channel is causing these light tan areas to be slightly transparent, and thus appearing foggy? If so how could I fix it, should I have layered the areas when editing in PS?
Thanks for any help.
Edit: Ok never mind. The foggy color was in the original sat image.
