• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Blender 2.78 problem animation

Hello all

I created an animated windsock the last year. all worked perfectly.

I want to change the textures on this object but today, when I export the new version, I see that I can't animate it. In fact, it's impossible to export the animation (made with an armature). The object is exported but it's not moving.
However, I made no change at this level. I verified the armature, animation tags.....

Maybe the problem is here, I don't know : I see, in the bones properties the "animation tag". But for Prepar3d. Fox FSX, the animation tag seem to be in the object properties.
In the first version of my object, I tagged every bone with an animation (ambient ...).

Is there some changes in the new version of blender, for the animations ? I don't understand why an animation as simple as a cylinder with 3 bones don't work. I upload the file

Did you make sure that you checked the box for "Skinned meshes"?

Yes. I checked it.
I made a new try with a cylinder and 3 bones (joined at my first post), I added the modifier "Armature" for the cylinder, Vertex groups to each bone; I create two keyframes (locRot) at start and end of the animation, I tagged all animations bones, checked Skinned mesh .


I become crazy lol !

Hi Lumat!

I downloaded your Blender file. I have attached my version of your animation to the post. I am not using P3D SDK, so I had to change the animation tags. I also do not do much with scenery animations items so I setup the object to work on the rudder. I tested the animation in FSX and it works good, moving the rudder the object moves.

I don't understand why mine was not working.
I see that you tag both the object and the bones, with a different animation (ambient and ambient2). maybe it's the problem ? I see it's the only difference between your try an dmine
