• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Blender 2.93 Update, and Updates Tip

Hey all,

I found out... that Blender come out with 'small' updates continuously. Their big News related updates are a big thing, but they also have small updates and the way you find them is go to the launch date of their latest version, say 2.93 or 2.8x, etc, etc. Find the date and also the release code or build code, hash code, which will be a serial number. In my case, today, I found an update. Different, newer date then mine, and has the release code: .....ae1e68f5146d. So mine is updated and I download it. I keep them in seperate folders and use shortcuts to the particular latest version I use, linking them to either Toolbar or Start menu or desktop. I do not do installs, so I run it hot from a folder on another drive.

Just wanted to share that. Check to see if you have an update! I am having slow-ness problems with my software, so I thought I would check it. If you download and run the same 'build' release number, such as 2.93, etc, then the settings will be in another folder and it links to it, like its the same one. All settings, tools, etc, etc, are saved. So impressive.

In the world of developpements Alpha versions should not be used in industry or for professionnal purpose because they are unstable.
Beta version are better but you have to care with it.

I prefer use LTS (Long Term Support) version which are updated frequently and currently, Blender 2.83 have been updated in 2.83.9 ... which is very stable and works with all my pluggins.
I have also a Blender 2.92 but just to test :cool:
 
Actually LTS is v2.83.12. It was last updated recently.
