Hi Everyone!

I am having an issue with rotating my ailerons, because they are not exactly on the X axis. I searched the internet for information on how to rotate an object on it's own axis. But I could not find anything. I read the post that was posted here on a door rotation problem; but I am not sure that it is the same problem that I am having.

I am attaching a picture of my aileron with one bone. So that you can see what I am talking about.

I would like to rotate the bone on it's own X axis.

I had no problem using the same methods animating my elevator, rudder, and landing gear and doors. But I can not get it to work for my ailerons and flaps.

Thank You, Krispy1001

Up-date: I have my ailerons animated now. I had to use pose mode to get them to rotate on the correct axis.

But now I have a new problem, when I apply full left aileron my ailerons push out from their correct position. They perform correctly for a full right turn.

I have attached a image so that you can see what I am talking about.

Please Help!

Thank you, Krispy1001

I worked on it until I found out what was wrong.

You do not need to apply a FSX animation tag to the surface you are trying to control; you only need to apply the FSX animation tag to the bone that is parented to the control surface.

Just wanted to let anyone else that maybe having the same problem know what I found out.

Thanks, Krispy1001
