• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v5 Blender2P3DFSX - aircraft reversed (Solved)

OK, It's been a while working in P3D, but it was v4 now I'm at v5. But why is my aircraft 180 degrees reversed?

Blender 3.3.21
Blender2P3DFSX 1.0.20

This is just weird. Never run into this. I'm doing something stupid. A setting in blender

Even a simple box is reversed. Scale is 1,1,1 - rotation is 0,0,0

On the end of the runway - faces wrong way and takes off backwards.

yep dumb mistake.

too much MSFS - left ortho view aircraft faces left - not like MSFS.

Thanks to a 10 year old Krispy tutorial

Hi Ronh,

My last work on P3D rdates from 5 years so it was difficult to answer but it seemed to me that the presentation of the plane in MSFS is reversed compared to that of FSX/ P3D (in Blender of course) Y <=> -Y

Yes most have moved to MSFS, I have a small project in P3D, and have forgotten all the differences. LOL, The aircraft is indeed reversed in Blender from MSFS. I should have seen it as the SDK shows it, but I did not really notice. The aircraft top view is up - rather than down so the other view is a left view, not a right view.
