• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

bridge with Gmax

HI all,
Need some help with this? I am building a bridge with Gmax and a platform to enable the vehicles to cross my bridge one side to another, but I also have a freeway under it and the problem is that traffic does not go under but over the bridge. I tried to work with Boolean but it’s the same thing.
Is it possible to have traffic over and under a bridge?

You may want to ask this question in the vector scenery subforum or fSX_KML subforum. FSX car traffic is a separate item compared to gmax.

I am not sure if FSX car traffic will recognize a platform on your gmax object. A taxiing user aircraft would but the car traffic is completely different.

It is my belief that FSX car traffic is ground-hugging (i.e. it will cling to the mesh) but there may be a workaround that the kml/vector guys know about. It may be possible to specify an altitude for a traffic vector line, but I have never tested this.

I use FSX_KML for that type of thing. But I have never tried putting vector line over any of my Gmax objects.

I mean it's not possible. The ground vehicles uses the platform too.
Solution: for your upper path, let it be. Split the lower path in two parts,
start and ending outside of the platform area.

Vehicle traffic over the bridge, with the platform tag is ok and I have to split with KLM the Freeway Traffic under.
