• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

BRISTOL FREIGHTER MK 1 TO 31 FOR FSX FROM REPLICAIR

I've been researching this since 1996 and have been modelling since 2005. It's gone through several transitions mostly as a result of fresh information and upgrades to FSDS. The latest change was to FSX.
There is no release date as this is my first model and so I'm learning as I go.

Ah, isn't that a Wayfarer? That's a great aircraft.

I used to have one for FS98 or FS2000, and I once had a memorable flight in it, down the desert African coast of Morocco. For some reason that flight has stuck in my mind all these years.

Your model looks great, it even has the animated doors.

Thanks for the encouraging comments. Here is an update on the model

I've been able to add the Cargo door operating handle to the model. The rest of the mechanism will follow.

Also I've now incorporated the door locks. Some of the stringers have also been added to the interior.

Through some XML Kung Foo the cargo doors will;

Open and close automatically with the default SHIFT+E then 2, this also opens and closes the locks.

Open manually by clicking the right side of the plate behind the handle, the doors will only open manually if all the locks have been opened
manually with a right click.

Close manually by clicking the left side of the plate, the locks then have to be manually closed with a left click.

If the locks are clicked either left or right with the doors opening or closing manually the locks will not close.

The doors can only be opened or closed with the aircraft on the ground and only if both props are not turning.

I have also cleaned up the seat cushions and given them a more rounded authentic appearance.

The seats have now been animated. In the case of the Co Pilots seat it can;

Travel forwards / backwards. This will move the view point forwards / backwards. It will only travel backwards if the floor hatch is closed
exactly as in the aircraft.

Raise and lower. This will raise / lower the view point.

Raise and lower the arm rests.

Once again many thanks for your comments, and I'll keep you posted as the model developes.
