• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Cannot connect ADE to FSX or P3D

Hi,

I seem to have developed an issue whereby ADE cant connect to either FSX or P3d.

The message it's giving for both FSX and P3dv2 is

Could not Connect

FSUIPC Error #7:FSUIPC_ERR_VERSION.Incorrect version of FSUIPC

Its been a while since I used ADE and im not sure if it was doing this before....? i thought ADE used simconnect? i dont recall having an FSUIPC error before?

FSUIPC is shown in both of the sim's menus?
Ade is version 1.67.5684
FSUIPC is version 4.945 (unregistered)

Both programs are running as admin as suggested in some threads here.

So i've removed ADE and FSUIPC from both sims, and reinstalled everything just to really eliminate any file corruption. But nothing? its still the same.

I have two earlier versions of ADE still installed and both of those also wont connect, giving the same issue.

its so annoying, I've been trying for two nights to solve it......

EDIT:- I just reinstalled FS9 which I recently removed just to check if I get the same message but it connects fine to FS9, does that tell me anything? I dont know??

I managed to find an older version of FSUIPC on my external harddrive v4.90 and that seems to work ok for some reason??
 
I have been effectively off line for a while and will need to check. I think the version I have is slightly older than the one you have the trouble with. However the error is coming from FSUIPC rather than ADE which is just reporting what it receives in this case.
 
Have you tried the Environment Checker?

Thanks for your replies, I have no idea what was going on with it? it just would not connect at all? the connect light stayed red. But when i replaced v4.945 with V4.90 FSX then worked ok, and when I tried P3d which is still v4.945 it all of a sudden just worked without me doing anything?? i havent touched it since, I've just left it as it is with V4.9 in FSX and v4.945 in P3D???

Where do I find v1.6 of the checker that includes P3D? I cant seem to find it. Its not with ADE and i cant find a new version on the owls nest?? the only one I can find is v1.4.2
