• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Most unusual. Please post the flight plan file set/traffic file that causes this difficulty.

EDIT: Please also tell me the AIFP release number. It's not clear how you determined you are using the "latest" release.

The flightplans load without error for me.

Does this message occur prior to or after you attempt to load the flightplans. The exception message appears to translate to "The path is invalid". If that is a reasonably correct translation, that message is generated by Windows following an attempt to access a file/folder with an invalid path and is simply relayed to you by AIFP. This suggest a problem with your MSFS installation.

If you check the other thread in which you posted this error, you'll find find a similar diagnosis and further info. (SU5 is reported to contain many errors. Perhaps it's at fault.

I infer from your response that the issue occurs prior to attempting to load the flight plans and that ,therefore, it has nothing to do with the flightplans. Also, if you re-read.my response, you should infer that the problem is related to MSFS, not AIFP. Consequently, I don't anticipate an update to AIFP - at least not one related to this issue.

I have just finished updating MSFS - with the same great deal of difficulty many of you have experienced. AIFP starts up properly, locates MSFS and loads the FedEx flight plans without issue

On yourt system, Windows declares an invalid path which AIFP then relays to you. It is also clear from the screenshots provided that AIFP on your system has found MSFS. That leaves airport database generation. If, when you installed the MSFS update, you changed the location where MSFS is installed, it's possible you have invalidated paths in the earlier airports database. So, I suggest you delete any files in the main AIFP folder whose name starts with "AirportList". As well, I suggest you delete the file AIFP.ini , which will get rid of any history.

Beyond that, I'm afraid its up to you to diagnose your own system. I can't fix what I can't duplicate. Please remember most MSFS users are not having such difficulty, so whatever the issue, it would seem to be a result of something on your system.

I'm having the exact same issue as well and - still found no fix :(

Please report problems in one thread only. I have responded in the other thread. Also, you have not made any attempt to respond to the questions I raised. How do you expect me to diagnose issues seemingly unique to your system configuration when you ignore my questions.
