• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

Hi all,

just had to post first this my first decent 2panel with a lot of gauges I have made myself,
every button switch functions as it should and links with VC. As I have two screens I like to have one dedicated to instruments and one VC or spot etc. As Carenado and a lot of new aircraft don't come with 2d anymore which is a shame I thought I would have go. Took a while and a bit of a learning curve but a couple Chris and rpmc (forum memebers) helped when I got stuck thanks guys couldn't have done it without you. I know it is nothing special to what most of you do on this forum here but just felt like showing it somewhere.

Cheers
Matt

I remember doing 2d popup switch panels for the Razbam Metroliner, the people here helped me big time. That's some fantastic work right there.

Very nicely done! Now of course you just might understand why developers have stopped creating 2d panels for their projects! It easily doubles the work and expense...

Thanks Turbo and can I also say thanks for you panels on the Metro got them installed and made the aircraft a whole lot better.

Thanks Bill for the compliment very kind form some one as talented as you. I do understand why 2D are going out of fashion however I cant see it doubling the workload for a payware company. Freeware I totally understand and I am very grateful for every new piece of freeware that is launched. But I knocked that out in a week and I am by no means a programmer or graphics specialist and using the textures already in the 3d model. Now if a pay ware company already their own XLS code for switches and gauges I would say they could easily have it done in an week particularly for simple aircraft. I might be missing something and I do not wish to cause offense to anyone.

Good Job Nice work indeed I still love to fly 2D and there are more people who does.
Honestly I learned XML just to be able to continue developing my own 2D panels since I'm not a VC fan at all..but VC is the standard moving forward nevertheless.
