Since this refers to Sketchup, MCX and ADEx I'm not sure where this should be posted - sorry.
I'm using some low poly objects made in Sketchup to use as AI aircraft.MDL's. I've imported the .DAE to MCX, used the material editor to convert to .DDS then exported to an FSDS file. This opens OK in FSDS but without any textures. In Project properties I've entered the texture path. I create FSX object as an aircraft file.
Everything works in FSX as it should except the textures do not show (black) If I use colours instead of textures in the sketchup model then they all show.
So far I've tried all sorts of combinations of .bmp's or .dds formats in the aircraft texture folder. When I export the model from MCX as a static model for ADEX and place in the scenery all the textures are good. It's only when exported as an aircraft model the textures don't appear. I'm quite familiar with the folder formats for AI aircraft.
Any suggestions as what the correct procedure should be.
Thank you.
