FS2004 command script

Hi there,

Is there a possibility to write a XML script that activate a command in certain parameters? I am trying to get my chute to actually brake the aircraft, and at the moment the tailhook command activate the chute. Now I was wondering if it is possible to have a script that activate the flaps as soon as the tailhook is extended.

Any idea if it is possible?

Thanks, Jakes

you could use a Visibility tag applied to a small poly

This would contain XML something like below although i'm no expert and its not tested, it should be able to work

Code:
<PartInfo>
    	<Name>Braking_chute</Name>
    	<Visibility>
     	 <Parameter>
        	<Code>
             (A:TAILHOOK POSITION, percent) 1 &gt;
             if{  (&gt;K:FLAPS_DOWN)  }
        	</Code>
      	</Parameter>
    	</Visibility>
</PartInfo>

in place of tailhook you could use a custom L:Var
and in place of FLAPS_DOWN you could use parking brake.

There are plenty of options, Hope this helps although the code isnt tested I'm sure it could be adapted to work as you require

Thanks,

It work - somehow..

I am using this code, but now, even with my flaps drag scalar set to 0, it brake like it is hitting a wall. Any idea why?
Code:
<part>
		<Name>Braking_chute</Name>
			<Visibility>
				<Parameter>
				<Code>
             (A:TAILHOOK POSITION, percent) 1 &gt; if{  (&gt;K:FLAPS_DOWN)  } els{ 100 }
				</Code>
				</Parameter>
			</Visibility>
	</part>
