• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.

I'm working on KFLL. Everything is fine until I go to compile the airport.

I set it to save at:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\scenery

I don't know what it could be.

If you need the long message that shows during compile, I'll post it.

Might it be that you are working with Vista? Due to the system folder security of Vista you can't compile directly into folders below the %ProgramFiles% structure.

Given that you use Vista, try to compile to the desktop or My Documents. If this works, you manually have to copy the bgl into your scenery folder.

This can be avoided by installing FSX outside the C:\Program Files\ structure, e.g. C:\MSFS\Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

Are you saying that there was a compiler error? Can you please email me (jon AT scruffyduck.co.uk) the file called ade_200804.log - that will contain details of any problems and help us figure out what is happening

You are using the original version of BglComp that came with the deluxe DVD - this has a problem that it fails on boundary fences. Please update you SDK to at least SP1a from the fsinsider.com website
