• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Compiling with BGLC for FS9

Hi Dick, and thanks! Yes, now the files compile as supposed, so the sticky version is now a-okay! :-)

Hi Hans.

Thanks for the help in finding the problem and confirming the fix. :)

Hi guys,
its my first time using this asm thingy.
i got 2 asm files and 1 mdl
how do i type in my lat. , long. , altitude and hdg for my object?
and then how do i compile?

You need to place the MDL file using an XML file. GMax already makes an example XML file when you export. Just open it and enter your coordinates etc. After that you need to compile it with BGLComp to get your BGL.

Have you read this [thread=98]article[/thread], it should explain that as well.

You need to compile the main asm file, not the _0.asm file.

Hi all.

If you still want to Drag-n-Drop the ASM file onto BGLC_9, and have it compile with the MDL extension, you can make a shortcut of BGLC_9. I rename my shortcut as BGLC_MDL. Then you can alter it:

Under the ( right mouse click ) shortcut's Properties, shortcut tab, Target text:

C:\Utility\BGLC_9.exe /mdl

And this will write your output as .mdl

BGLC_MDL.JPG

You can also add an icon...

Keep BGLC_9 in a single location, and place the shortcut on your desktop... or make clones of the shortcut, and add them to your work folders.

BGLC_9 also works with LWM and VTP sceneries, and with all older programs, like the FS2002 BGLPlacer.
