Create a Logo for FSX with Blender ... Problem

Hi,
Just assuming your wall texture is repeated around the tower I made a quick and dirty example.

So let this be a smplified tower wall with a repeated texture mapping:

create a plane object where the logo should be and texture it with your logo texture:

Make sure to have the logo object slightly in front of the wall to prevent flickering!

In case you have dds versions of the textures in the same folder as your exported mdl file (I flipped the logo) it should look like this in MCX:

04.jpg

OK maybe I did not make the best choice regarding colors :D

Hope this helps,
Dave

Just in case you like to inspect yourself what I just did here are the files.

Thanks so much!!!... now it's ok ...

lst thing: Why in blender when you are in Texture mode you can see the logo ... instead in Render mode no ?!

seems to be some material settings about how both of the materials handle shadows.
Doesn't affect the fsx export.
How does it look in MCX?

in MCX it's all ok ... where can I check this in Blender?
I am not really sure about this because I don't do renderings very often. But you could play with some settings in the 'shadows' section.
