• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Creating a second scenery on top of an existing one in the same location

Hi guys!

Perhaps I’ve got a bit of an odd question… I’ve just launched my first solo project, EHLE Lelystad Airport for MSFS. Now the scenery is out and (hopefully) all error are out, I’d like to get back to flying myself. Now, I’ve also got a YouTube channel where I run my airline in Air Hauler 2. I’d like to add a sign of my company to on of the hangers. As I’m working constantly on updates for my Lelystad Airport scenery, I don’t want to add the sign to my Lelystad package. I’ve tried to build a custom airport project just for the sign and place it in the right location. I’ve added the package to my community folder in the hope that worked. Now my new project was set not overwriting an existing ICAO so the two, in my mind at least, would work properly together. Only my Lelystad Airport scenery shows in the sim, not the sign in my other packages. Any thoughts on this? Is it even possible to do?

You can have a package with the its own modelib and a BGL with the location of the sign. Just don't add an airport object to the BGL and it should be fine.
