Hello all
I would like to know if someone could tell me how to create an array of bright edge in FSDS 3.5.1 , I already try a whole thing but nothing works until the .
I'm looking to do a bright illumination for night flying , which gauges the only enlightened or at least the play on which come to put the gauges .
For this I differente questions.
Following different tutorial that I followed and applied my room did not enlightened .
Firstly, after the explanations provided in the folder using FSDS3.5.1 , it indicates that for the lighting of the dashboard , it must once have creates pieces Panel light switch , layer alpha must be white . Is this correct?
Then they must be the property of the material used ?
The texture should it have a number of specific pixel in because it seems that the light texture should be 256 pixel, is this correct ?
On after the tutorials I've seen it seems textures must be reversed on the Y axis, but it does it say that Y axis of the room must be particular place so that it works ?
I 'm sorry to ask you all this, but I tried so many things and the final is not working I'm a bit lost , totally see .

Thanking you in advance for your light.

Farfy might be able to help here better than me. However, what do you mean by reverse on the y axis? do you mean flipping the texture up side down? You do this only if you are going to turn your bmp texture into a dds. Open bmp in the program called dxtbmp, in the menu choose flip then AFTER that save as a dds. You can also do this with image tool which will flip it for you as you save as dds.
the rest of your question is dealing with panel lights for a flyable aircraft. This I do not know. bob

Hi,

No, you do flip the night texture upside down, even if it is a BMP. But I do not know how to create VC lighting with FSDS.

gib- I've never had to flip night textures as bmps. Maybe I've missed that for years but never had any problem. Hmmmm! Bob

Have you created night textures for VC gauge lighting? That's the only time you flip.

no haven't so if I ever get into learning how to do panels and their lights.... this is very good to know.l thanx. Bob
