Curved Taxiways?

I'm creating ground polygons in GMAX using the FS2002 gamepack method. I was wondering what the best technique is for making curved taxiways, as in the accompanying image. I've been using lines, and the Bezier/smooth tool, then capping holes, but using this method it is difficult to make duplicate curves and maintain a constant width to the taxiway. Is it possible to draw a curved line and extrude to the width needed? Any help is much apprecitated!!

Thanks!

Mark

Hi,

Normally I use the bezier/smooth line and cap holes approach you describe already. If might be worth a try to use the loft method that is often used for the lines also for the taxiway itself. Then you can loft a template with a fixed width along a line.

Thanks Arno!

I think I'll continue to work with the line Bezier/smooth tools and cap holes modifier, as I'm getting better with this method as I go. I've sort of put off learning the loft method until it's time to do my lines. I'll just have to be patient!

Thanks again,

Mark

WIKI on the loft method....

The Loft method as described in the Wiki is very easy to learn.
