FSX CYPW - Powell River Airport

I really like the Canadian runways and yours looks great!

Thanks for the feedback. Still some little bits to finish on the runway. For some reason, I can never be 100% satisfied. I always find myself going back and adding to it lol.

cheers!

The cracks are created by a set of 3 to 4 different tiles in Photoshop. I then place them on different poly's over my runway in Gmax. The cracks are painted with a light brush with a darker grey color. Then I overlap it with a darker black with a smaller brush.

Cheers,

Alright,thank you very much,sir.

A little update:

Buildings are taking a considerable about of time. (Lots of new things for me to figure out).

Taxiways are 90% complete. I will try to show some previews shortly. It's getting there... slowly. :)

Hi Guys,

Seems that I’ve run into a big issue regarding my scenery. I was wondering if someone could give some pointers as to what’s going on?

I had to complete a fresh re-install of Windows 7 on my machine. I saved all work in an external hard drive. Once I re-loaded FSX, I began to install Orbx PNW and all patches (Libraries). This scenery was originally to be used with PNW product.

After the install of my usual add-ons, I go ahead and add my custom scenery (Powell River) but, seems that there were conflicting AFCAD’s from Orbx. I was not able to get my scenery to work properly anymore. Even if I disable the Orbx afcad’s there still seems to be some elevation issues with the taxiways and aprons.

Now, my guess is that my AFCAD lost the flatten polygon somehow. I’m not too sure on how to go about fixing that. I’m just curious on how it worked previously but doesn’t work now?

Any thoughts are welcome at this point. I’m at a standstill until I can figure out how to fix everything.

Thank you,

Hey there -- I have PNW installed and all patched up. If you need it, I can send you my AFCAD files.

Although I will say that it sounds as if perhaps you have an additional CYPW installed that is creating problems for you.

Hi Ripcord,

Thanks for the offer. I found that the main issue lies within my original flatten. When re-installing this scenery to continue work, the elevations were a little out of place. So I may have to build it from scratch and import the textures\models I've already created.

Cheers!

Have you tried changing the elevation in ADE to make it output another altitude.bgl file for placing in the scenery\world\scenery folder?

Hi Finni,

Thanks for the suggestion. That might, actually be my issue. I'll give that a shot!

Cheers,
