• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

As I am taking a break from my G159 I decided to start on another model, this time the Dassault Mercure.

It is a work in progress but I like it so far, apart from the nose section of the aircraft. if anyone has some tips they are welcome :P ( I am working with Blender btw)

Hey...
I am working on a Mercure too!! External model is basically ready, Systems and panels 75% and VC 40%... will be for FS-9 and FS-X (FS-X SDK compliant with DX-10 support, bump mappings, etc...)

you can check the screenshots on my web page at www.mariopilot.heliohost.org in the projects session (or click my signature)

My version has been on the works for more than a year... you just begun! We may however share documentation/photos and help each other out! My project is freeware!

Yes we could :) My project was originally intended for personal use because there is no good model currently available for download and it is my favorite jet. But yours is just amazing.

Amazing both projects. The Mercure is interesting.

Well...You can combine forces and deliver an amazing Mercure...The best. The Mercure must have the better rendition possible.

That would be nice yes however Blender and Gmax are incompatible with each other directly, There are workarounds but it will never really work out nicely :P

Indeed sharing 3D models will do no good. Mine is almost done (VC aside), animations integrated to systems... You may want to convert yours to AI model, I have an Air Inter Mercure time-table...

I could do that :) Btw I found that with your model the cockpit windows are a little too round if you know what I mean, here are some pics For the rest it is amazing !

I was thinking in other tasks if it's possible. I'm sure that create an aircraft is more than a 3D model. Or make another model for P3D for example. IA model as Mario said...There is a lot of possibilities.

Thank you both for work in the Mercure.

+1 for an AI model. You'll only have to create a single livery to boot.
