• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hey all, I've been having problems with my FSX install related to OR Tambo Airport, Johannesburg (JNB/FAOR)

I have Aeroworx's addon file installed, but whenever I load up the airport, the default buildings show through the addon buildings. I suspected this was because of the fact that I had two different ICAO codes for the same airport (FAJS/FAOR), and normally I just created a file in ADE with nothing in it to trick FSX to not load anything for FAJS and only load up FAOR. This worked, until recently, when they showed up somehow. There were many possibilities I suspected:

- I tried reversing the ICAO codes (generate FAJS instead of FAOR), which didn't work
- I use Aeroworx's Southern Africa Mesh, which I disabled, but that didn't work either
- I replaced my APX55410.bgl file that I got from NMG Simulations' website (renames stock FAJS to FAOR), but that also didn't work
- I disabled all my addons, which brought the stock airport FAJS back, which isn't what I wanted and is not a fix I want to end up with

I have literally no idea how to disable the default buildings. I'll attach both APX55410.bgl files, as well as my trick ADE file. If there's any more information or files I need to provide, please also notify me. Thanks!

You do understand that you should not delete or change the default files.

"Nope, didn't work" doesn't help me in helping you. Can you give more information than that? I know the tutorial works, if done correctly.
