• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Developers, why do you develop?

I wanted to be an adventurer with wip, gun and a nice lady roaming the jungles and mountains of the planet looking for treasures and meeting unknown creatures. When I started siming I found the world I needed so I started making scenery and runways way out in the boondocks and dangerous jungles....so FSadventureSky was born to do just that...sure, freeware:p

Why I love to develop for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Well I am not a pilot, but there are 3 other pilots in my family. I grew up building balsa wood airplanes and rockets from 1/12 scale to 1/6 scale, these small planes took months to build.
To this day I have a P-40 Mustang that weighs 6 pounds. My largest plane was a 9 pound Spitfire. I grew up using microsoft flight simulator 1.0 or 1.1 back in 1984.

In High School I took 2 years of mechanical drafting and 1 year of engineering. In college I took Auto Cad on computers. Over the years I worked in plastic fabrication until I opened my
own business. I made parts for medical to high tolerance parts for the silicon valley.

Do I develop for profit? Yes and no. I would develop all day long for free. But I want to start developing 24/7 which means I have to profit. I hope you do support flysimware through the good
the bad and the ugly....
