• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Dumb question: green centerline lights?

I've used AFLT to create blue taxi lights. Now I guess the solution is easy, but I can't figure out how to create the green taxiway centerline lights?
May anyone please help?
Thanks in advance.

Rosario, depending on which version of AFLT you are using, a green centerline light may already be defined (Taxiway-Green_Surface). If such a light is not defined, you can create one using the fields on the Main Panel. The process is set out in the user manual under the heading Creating a Light Element.

Thanks Don
I'm using version 2 and I've tried this way:

Anyway, when I load the object in Instant scenery, I can't see the green light, while the blue light shows.

The light has been created, else you wouldn't see it in the Element list. So the next thing to look at is how you have placed it and, if you've asked for effects to be used, that you have the applicable effect in your effects folder. Also, do you have your airport flattened to ARP elevation? If not, the light may be buried.

If you are using BGL lights, leave it that way for the moment. (No point in potentially introducing another issue.)

That leaves placement. How are you positioning the green lights and are you sure you've used the correct Guid?

Don

BTW, are you GPs now displayed?

I'm using instant scenery. I'll check the GUID.

The GPs sadly are not displayed, I've answered to the previous topic.

Let me say thank you again for your kind help anyway.

I assume you included the green light in an updated object library. If so, please post that library.

Don, first off I am a total neophyte regarding your AFLT and read through this thread as it was "close" to what I would like to achieve. Although this thread speaks to "green" taxiway lights, I have the need to add "amber" taxiway lights to a major rework in progress on KDFW. These lights are used around KDFW there the "taxi PATHS" meet the Apron Limit line and form a "T" with the green lights that part of the "path" from the actual taxiway. Can one use AFLT to construct such "AMBER" lights? This is for use in P3Dv3 and v4.

You can make lights any color you wish. Just create or edit an effect for the desired color.
