• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Dynamic Scenery - DynKit

What I'd love to see is a new dynamic scenery controller DLL built for FSX that can replicate this functionality, maybe the guys at Flight 1 might be able to make that happen as they do have the tools to inject scenery into the sim via external controllers...

FS2004 is a different beast tho :S

DYNkit DYNmaker fltrec9 are at this web site

Hi, All

Does anyone know where to get DynKit?

It is relatated to making dynamic scenery.

I got it working, and have made dynamic scenery with DOD (Dynamic Object Designer), but its libraries contain objects that don't work so well in FS2004, altitude-wise.

It is great to see several little vehicles going around my airports in FS2004, but I want them to be on the ground, not 1 metre in the air.

If someone knows where DynKit is available, I'd appreciate very much.

Fern

This seems to be an old topic how ever, I have recently found all the programs talked about in this thread so knowing, I want to make dynamic scenery for my current pasco v2 project it stands to reason, I am not alone so here is where you can get fltrec90 and dynkit dynmaker ect... fsdyn is at flightsim.com

For fltrec90 dynkit dynmaker ext... go to the following link and look under utilities

Sorry to revive an old thread but the nerd in me is wanting to play with backwards dev tools. I loved the old dynkit based system. I remember seeing aircraft in FS98 or 2000 flying out of YBBN and it was amazing.

Thankfully the tools are still here in this thread, I'm very curious if I can take a pathway from Google Earth or other GIS software and convert it to the older sims... I'm just curious if I can take my drone flights and input them into the old sim just for fun.

It's a very long time ago I used DynKit, I forgot how the input path was provided. But if it is some kind of coordinates I'm sure it could be converted from Google Earth.

Yeah from ancient memory I think it was using the old FS co-ordinate system from FS3/4 days? It'd actually be funny to be able to convert old dynkit paths to new MSFS animation paths.

I've been geeking out the last few days, I hold Just Flight responsible for re-igniting fires that had become just a faint flicker since they released the PA-38-112. And claude.ai for programming is a beast!
