• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

Thanks to the great tutorials and tips in ths forum I was able to create my first Airport for the Flight Simulator.

It`s the Allgäu Airport in the south of Germany. A former airbase and since 2007 a regional airport.

Verry well done! I life next to it in Vorarlberg. Departed and arrived there a view times.

How many buildings did you model for this scenery?
Did you model the new runway width? :)
 
I create 71 buildings - if I have not miscounted.
And yes, the runway has the new width of 45 meters. I will create the whole airport, as it was at the end of 2019.
 
Fantastic! I regularly fly (at least in normal times) from Memmingen and was thinking of creating it myself. But it would probably take me forever and I am very glad I will be able to use it in such a high quality. Any chance of a P3D version?
 
@Capt. PERO With the patch last night, several problmes were solved. So I think it should be possible to release the airport within the next weeks.

@David Hilker I don´t think that there will be a P3D version - at the moment the fligt simulator is my favorite
 
Would also love to have it in P3D V5. Maybe you can find somebody to convert the scenery over to P3D V5?
But most importantly, congratulations, the scenery looks stunning in terms of what we´ve been shown so far. Thank you!

very nice looking foward to it, i am also in real live there from time to time to recover the GA Airplanes from the mechanical Shop.
Did you consider possible to make EDMT Tannheim aswell?
My Home Airfield...but it is in poor shape currently in MSFS...

Hi Fred, didnt use EDJA lately because I have bad stuttering of MSFS south of Memmingen. Was flying yesterday to the West from EDJA, noticed something Important is Missing. November 2 is Reporting Point for crossing in and out of CTR of EDJA. November 2 is exact over the Watertower inside the Forrest north of EDJA to easily indentify it. Found not Pictures online, but live not far from it. When you want to do it, can provide Pictures.

I have done the EDJA for FSX late 2011. In my sgnature there is a link to it. you can try it. But there is no support anymore for it.
 
Looking very good, but unfortunately for the wrong sim. I would definitely support a P3D version of this scenery.

Great Job Fred, i love your EDNL and EDJA scenery and also EDQM, great work!

Unfortunately, i have the same issue as MAD-MM, heavy stuttering and freezes in this region. I made a thread on the official MSFS (Beta) Forum and i have other users reporting the same stutters.
I really hope ASOBO can adress it. It isnt related to your scenery, just want to report and maybe someone can add this reports or has found what is causing it.
 
I have done several tests with the latest sim update. And it seems that the super annoying stuttering south of EDJA is actually gone.

Now it is possible to fly over Kempten/KPT without any problems or freezes. After all these months a really pleasing progress in the sim.

Thisis absolutely great news, thanks for the heads up and the great EDNL Scenery fred! Finally i can recreate do my real world flights in this Area. Flown a lot from LOIH to EDNY and other airfields in this region. This is a biggie for me. :)
