• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

MSFS20 Emissive textures?

Good day, guys! I have quite a big problem with emissive textures and exporting them. The problem is there that my Day-Night Cycle button doesn't work and I don't know why. I tried everything and my emissive textures still are on during the day. Any help and suggestions?
Another problem is that when I put light source from blender(spot light for example) they don't show up in the sim, and last but not least I need to restart my sim and rebuild my package every time when I make a change in blender and export it while the sim and object are opened(I was able to edit them while the sim is opened in the past).
Thanks in advance!
This is what I am using now.

I'm not sure about the day night cycles, they work for me with the latest version of the official Blender plugin.

For the light source you need to check the 'punctual light' option or something like that in the plugin's export options.

You can still live update a model with the sim open by opening the model's gltf file with a text editor, I use notepad ++, move some lines along with the spacebar, remove them so the line is back to the original position and then save the gltf with the text editor.

The sim should freeze briefly and then the model will update.

I am gonna try your advice now. Thanks!
Can I get a link to the newest version of the official blender plugin?

Most of the time I still use the original plugin you can download from here as I've had fewer strange problems and the day night cycle will definitely work, but this official version has collision boxes and will have many other improvements in future so you may as well familiarise yourself with it.

Thanks a lot, man! You solved all of my problems. When I edit manually the gltf file with a text editor and with the newest version all of my problems have been solved.

It is important to remember that the plugin available here, currently at least, does not work with Blender 3.12. The plugin available here writes the model .XML file for you, the official Blender2MSFS plugin does not. Many users prefer to remain on Blender 2.83 and use the Vitus plugin.

Thanks to all of you! Any Ideas why this happens sometimes to my scenery?
