• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Engine Problems

I have recently started using SAMM2 and having a lot of fun using this great tool. But I have run into a problem when trying to use the "Engine(s) Running" option under the "Pose Options" dialogue.

Each time I select this option the programme appears to pause and the small blue circle appears ( I am running windows 7). If I try to use any other of the option buttons while this is happening I get the "Not Responding" notice at the top of the SAMM window.

I have created several successful models with other options selected but it is only the "Engines Running"option that causes this.

Anyone with a suggestion please?

Thanks for the report, Aarovic.

I'll investigate.

(BTW, there's nothing you can do - other than not select engines on)

Problem found and fixed in 2.1.09.

However, you still may not get the results you want. On my test aircraft, while the "rotating prop" was displayed, so also was the static prop. To get rid of the static prop, (on that model) you'd have to examine the model design to determine which parameter(s) control the display of the static prop and adjust those parameters.

However, if you're lucky with your model selection, that step won't be necessary. Incidentally that issue can be totally avoided by using a FS9 model.

Many thanks Don for such a quick response.

Tried this with the FS9 Mosi and its worked a treat.

Keep up the good work.
