• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

ENGK Gullknapp

Runway lighting isn't blue? That's taxiway edge lighting normally.

Looks superb otherwise.

Hello..
Thanks for the tip, Oskar.. I may do them a little smaller, but then they will hard to spot in the distance.. They are actually pretty hard to see as of now ;) And yes, they are runway lights.. Gullknapp actually dont have runway-lights irl, however I thought id make the airport useable at night as well ;)

Well, nowhere (afik) has blue runway lights. So you might like to change that.

You can edit the mipmaps to increase visibility at range btw.

The vegetation looks really cool.;)

I think the edge issue can be solved by increasing alpha test level (~ 128)

No I wont change that because we don't use blue runwaylight. The only reason I belive for having blue lights for the runway is if they use LED.
Otherwise you can have an extended runway lit up by blue lights on the edges. Different color is a safety precaution and not just randomly selected.
You shold be able to tell what's the runway and what's the taxiway. If both are blue and no approachlight is existing, you simply can't.

Taxiway edge-lights are blue. Runway lights are white/orange/red. Hence you can tell the difference.

That is the convention. But it's your airport and prerogative to have incorrectly coloured runway lights.

Gullknapp is now ready for download! :)

Happy holidays! :)

Hi,
just downloaded and tried it. and it looks really awesome. :)

There is just a technical issue:
As you did not remove crash detection from the runway lights the user (when having crash detection enabled) is caged in the middle of the runway and can't even taxi to the hangars. :(
Could you please update this? (the grass should be 'noCrash' too)

Keep up the good work! ;)
