• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I am having difficulty excluding trees, buildings I have no problem with, I have tried both poly and exlude but neither appears to do the job, what am I doing wrong? Neil

In the polygon properties you must select the vegetation check mark and set the scale to 0. That will get rid of trees.

Can you stack the polygon? I tried to remove some trees inside already existing polygon by creating another one on top but it didn’t work. Changing the priority doesn’t seem to work either.

You could draw the poly with a hole in the middle. Do it like a letter “C” but bring the open ends together. Or use two polys I.e do two halves with the hole in the middle.

Hi guys, I recently having issues excluding custom landmarks from asobo. Even if I put polygon and exclude all, the custom landmarks by Asobo are still there. any idea?

Think this is a known issue and affects roads an lighting too when they aren't part of an airport. We are all waiting on an update to the SDK which will hopefully address the issue.

I deleted a tall tower at Brighton simply by creating a polygon exclude everything and saving it as <name of xml you're working with>- icao code of nearest airport>-poly. Something like this- ince-egic-poly.

Hi! I’m having issues removing trees using the “0 density trick”. When I use a Polygon, either with vegetation off or on with all sliders to 0, some random trees still appear… this happens since Update 6. Anyone knows how to solve this?

Thanks a lot in advance!
