Never really occurred to me until today but am I started to wonder whether exclusion rectangles work at altitude. There was a problem where a user was missing the bottom half of some buildings. The designer had placed objects on top of one another. The top objects showed up but the lower ones did not. Thus there appeared floating buidlings. The problem seemed to relate to a default bgl which had been modified by another addon. Got me wondering if Excludes only work on objects placed at zero AGL????

Good question. I don't think so, but it's worth a try. :)
I think excludes don't look at the altitude of objects, only at the position. But maybe Arno knows more about that. :teacher:

Hi Jon,

As far as I know excludes don't look at the altitude. So it should make no difference if an object is floating or not.

But could it be that some of the objects are XML and others are using the pre-Fs2004 non-XML code? These two types have their own excludes, so that could give the effect you describe.

Hi Arno
As far as I know the scenery was made using EZ-Scenery so the objects should all be FS9.

I think the problem was a default library that had been renamed which removed those objects. The EZ Scenery objects appear to have been added above the defaults, and therefore looked like they were floating.
