• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Since I barely didn't make it to update the other topic, I guess I'll make a new one.

The exterior model is touching the finish line and ready to receive its first coat of paint. Here are some screenies of the aircraft, wearing the well known and cool wireframe multicolour scheme:

The VC has been stripped of most placeholder textures, leaving only the ones needed for FDE testing (FD guys should always get only the absolutely necessary stuff :P ). It is being UV mapped and some finishing touches are needed to be considered complete.
For more information and updates, check the developement blog here: Developement blog

I normally don't let emotions determine the actions of my teutonic mind, but

I AM SO, SO, SO, SO, SO MUCH LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ONE!

AO Mapping almost finished. The stiches that are visible will get some whitening, eventually. A more extensive screenshot update can be seen on the blog, but here is the resume.

Dude...That AO mapping made all of your detailed modeling absolutely POP! :D It's always hard for me to see detail in my models when I haven't added any shading or defined the little areas...Nice Job!! I like the engine exhaust ports too.

Indeed it does! Much better than a flat model.
The exterior model was brought to that level by Jamal, who took over from my initial mesh. The only part of the aircraft he has left untouched are the engines. He has a keen eye for details and also allowed me to focus on my favourite part, the virtual cockpit.
