• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 Fences & Gates

I love how easy it is to create fences using ADE. However, what would make it ALMOST perfect would be if we could also place GATES along with the fences. As I travel around KCVG both in real life (amazing how airports seem to actually enjoy doing tours for people and if you tell them you are doing a simulator project they (at least at KCVG and KHAO) will go out of their way to help you out getting you information and access to areas (with security of course) to take photos....) and looking at Google Earth in 3D how many fences there are all over the airport property. And just how many of these fences have gates; mostly big sliding gates. In my rough design using ADE doing the fences is cake. However, I was thinking how great it would be to just click a button like we do for fences and select a type of gate to add. Just like fences choose the height and type (sliding, swinging (open or closed), or a double slide/swing.) Just a thought.... As I can't seem to find any P3Dv4 OBJECTS like there used to be 1000000's of for FS9/X on all the great FS file sites.... Yes, I know SOME will work...but I don't have the time to try and discover if they work or not...and I really don't have the patience currently (you can't imagine my life right now) to find models, learn how to do the conversion, and then make a new model... Even the programs that do it automatically are NOT automatic as far as I can see....

So, again....just a thought. Would be a really kick ass feature. :)

Fencebuilder Pro, a modestly-priced payware application available from FSaddon.eu supports placement of ground-hugging fences, gates and many other objects.

Don works tirelessly to improve development, this is an great way to say, "thanks" and the software is almost free, so, ya.

Thanks for the promo, Rick.

Incidentally, if anyone checks out the FSAddon Store site, they'll find Fencebuilder Pro is advertised for use with FS2004 and FSX (and, hence, PV2). But, anyone purchasing FBP is entitled to a free upgrade to a PV4-compatible version. For details, please see the FBP FSAddon support forum.

I'll jump on it if/when it works with P3Dv4+ :) Too bad you couldn't hook it up with ADE as part of the Pro Key add-on... Thus still able to get paid for it! :) I'll absolutely check it out!!!

Ok...looked at the pics on the site...I am absolutely buying this.. I'll wait, however, until their 50% sale... However, if it is as great as it looks and works with P3Dv4...I'll send YOU directly a donation!!!!!! I'd rather pay an author for their work than a distributor... You do the work, you told me about it..you should get ALL that it's worth....
