• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

It would appear that the FFDS Forum has disappeared and along with it a treasure trove of custom coding solutions for a/c development. Does anyone know if those pages were archived?

If you refer to the FreeFlightDesignForum (with FFDS) then you are lucky. see 3 images below how stuff works at the Internet Archive website

1 - Enter the last known url to the website you want to check IF it has ever been archived or not

NOTE: Not every website has allowed themselves to be archived !!!

2 - Here you can see
- That the website have been archived and From when To when (1 april 2022 was the last snapshot)
Use the slider to scroll to the years you want to see the archived snapshots from
fsd_internetarchive_freeflightdesignforum3.jpg

3 - When you have reached the selected year, blue dots show the snapshot dates
Hoover over the blue dot on the year-agenda screen and select a snap-shot date inside the label underneath it. (the red link)
If everything goes alright you are able to see an archive snapshot of the website you are looking for.

NOTE2: If this snapshot - for some reason - does not work / gives an error, then scroll back in time and select a snapshot from another date.
Sometimes things go sideways (for example a snapshot has been corrupted due to internet connection/ web-server errors ), but then you need to go back in time.

NOTE3: I do not know IF and HOW the Internet Archive (IA) makes snapshots of forums and the forums contents
The only way it to go ahead and find out since it seems to vary from website to website (is my own experience with the IA-website.

Good luck
