• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

File Sharing Options

Just for reference, what I use:

-Dropbox, free account pumped up to 4.2gb - great for sharing files with collaborators. We use it in our IVAO division. Also easily does public links.

-SkyDrive, free account. I dont use it too much, just some file storage.

-Google Drive, 25gb paid account. I started using the free version, then I got close to the limit, as it counts Picasa pictures.
I use this as all-around store, some Google Docs collaboration, some public files, some storage, pictures...

-Capsa.cz - this is a Czech cloud storage service, that is in beta for individuals (used to be a team collaboration service for business customers only). I just found out that they released a sync application, will start trying them out. They promise the cheapest space, as low as 4euros/month for 100gb, so I wish it will work well.

One thing I miss in existing clients is the ability to link any disk folder to cloud, for example I have on a "data" disc a folder called "My FS Projects" that I would like to sync... but normally that would mean copying it over to Users/Username/Dropbox or Google Drive or wherever...

ImageShack used to limit you to 500 images for a free account, but have changed that to a 5GB limit. Mine are all optimised for the Web so I suddenly have lots of scope again.

Dropbox is my favorite for sharing files, probably just because I have finally figured out how to (more or less):).

Yea, DropBox is my favorite too, Im paying $9.99/Mo for 100Gb and sharing the folder within the Group. Good video and Document viewer like .DOC and .PDF Plus Mobile app so you can share from mobile and manage your files..
Also you can increase your Gb.. Just use Virtualbox to rename the PC and refer some 10 minute mail..

Egnyte has turned into a very money hungry site. I no longer recommend them. I suddenly have been having 'you have hit your limit for the month' shut-downs. People cant download manuals. This hasn't happened before, so I think something is wrong is going on. I am presently looking around for a better service that can handle my uses.

Google Drive is another option if you already have a Google account.

https://mega.co.nz/ which is the new and reinvented MegaUpload offers an astonishing 50GB FREE with an account. If you have not made an account yet, I would encourage making one, as for images I prefer http://postimage.org/. Postimage is just too easy to upload too, and there are a variety of options for linking and viewing the picture.

This threads been dead for almost a year so I'm reviving it. When I saw that Dino Cattaneo was using Google Drive I said I'm with him. Its been the best for file sharing but not so good for image posting on forums.
