• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Flat Roofs GUID

Hi,

I noticed that the issue I am having with the AGN by Scenproc not displaying any objects in FSX is perhaps an incorrect Flat Roofs GUID.

When I tried the tiled roof GUID I could see the autogen in FSX...

Can you please confirm the following flat roofs GUID is ok and if not can you please give me the exact flat roof GUID so I can try it?

This is the one I use and it displays no Autogen in FSX :
{B28E8B51-5DC5-46BC-A2B3-57C286A6C01B}

And if it is ok as is, could it be perhaps a bug in Scenproc with the flat roofs?

Hi,

That GUID is not in my XML definition, where did you find it? I see no tooltip with a name in scenProc. This is a GUID for flat roofs I sometimes use:

{6089A0BD-CED1-4c47-9A9E-64CDD0E16983}

But there are many of course. Just start typing the friendly name and the auto completion will help you. Either type "Default flat" or "flat" and you should get enough to choose from.
 
Hi,

No, you can't use those GUIDs. Those are the GUIDs of the library object being used, but you need the GUID of the autogen class that uses that object.

I know there are too many GUIDs, it's confusing :D
 
hehe yes the GUID business is a confusing one indeed ;)

And BTW I just tried the friendly name and it did not detect it, it gave me an error in the GUID
