• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Flight Model Expert Required

Are looking for an exciting career working on the latest flight models for modern aircraft, one with great pay, benefits, awesome bonuses?

Well sorry we can't offer all that, but we can offer a really cool little jet to make a few Canadians very happy. So some background first.

Back in the FS 2004 days, I started to work on the CT-114 Tutor for FS2004 using FSDS. I quickly found I was in a little too deep by myself and requested some help from some amazing people, some of whom are helping with this project. Our flight model guy was really good and with the help of some RCAF guys which included the Snowbirds themselves, it flew really well. So a couple years ago, I found Blender and started to re-do the Tutor from the ground up. It was looking really good for FSX/P3D and maybe someday even X-Plane 11.

Out of the blue, I get an e-mail from a Major in the RCAF in Ottawa who works on VR projects for the RCAF. He saw some of the early screen shots of the new Tutor and was very interested. He does work with the Snowbirds as well and they are all excited about it too. This is about the time MSFS 2020 was really picking up steam and VR was getting close. So I looked into 2020 and found I'd have to do some reworking to get the plane to compile for 2020. Well playing in VR sold me and I cancelled all animation on the Tutor, flipped her the 180 needed on the Z-Axis and got her into 2020. Awesome...yeah.

Well the FM doesn't really translate well from FSX/P3D to 2020 (at least my lack of skills doesn't help...). So if there is anyone here who is really good or even semi-good and wants to be apart of this project, please let me know.

So what can we offer? Well we do have access to the Tutor manuals which do include performance graphs. We do have access to the actual pilots who fly the old bird on a regular basis and who are very excited about using the VR for the Tutor as they want to practice formation flying with it. Sorry no money, no benefits, not even a free payware plane as the Tutor is going to be like my last one, totally free to all.

Let me know and look forward to working with whoever jumps onboard.
