• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.

    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.

Frankfurt/Main Intl. (EDDF)

Hi folks.

Not much this time. Just one pic of my first tests for the ground layers:

This screen is a bit older. By now there are the runway markings, including touchdown zones and centerlines. And of course the rubber on the runways. :D But I have the problem to get the font type of the runway designators (7R, 7L, etc.) right. Any suggestions?

And another building that is finished: The big parking garage for passengers (And of course scenery designers :D )

About Frankfurt Main Airport

:yikes: Hey, I've been working in that design for a while now, the project it's been stop since I have started some others airports such as Oslo Gardermoen and Dubai Int'l. For the pictures you post I can see you have concentrate much more in the detail that the one I have done. Since I dont live in Frankfurt some times is hard for me to figure out how a part of the airport looks like, also to get the textures is hard so I paint the textures my self.
ok, here is some images of my Frankfurt project. If someone is interested to joint me on the mentioned airports, just contact me.

The font used for the runway designators looks quite "boxy"... not sure if there is a font that reproduces this accurately. I would suggest simply tracing vector outlines from the images in Google Earth...

BTW, the screenshots you've posted look really good... looking forward to flying from your EDDF!

Whow...a third EDDF freeware(?) version. Didn't know that. We three should've formed a team. *g*

The last days I spent completing the buildings I want to fill FRA with (still some to do) and placed them. I will texture them step by step. Sadly I have to guess how some buildings look like, because I have no pictures of them or know somebody who could make some.

One almost close up of my taxiway and the first ground textures:

About the fonts for the designators: Some years ago I bought a CD with 1001 fonts (or so). Maybe I should check this. By now I only searched the web (I found fonts for USN designators)

Daniel,

as always, those screenshots look very nice! Just hope you'll be able to resist the temptation to release this as payware... ;)
