• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

FS2020 Canada Update

Hi Specialists,
since the latest update, I run into troubles with my PiMax in VR-mode. In the menu mode, all works as expected. I can switch to VR-mode with Ctrl-Tab and do my selections. As soon as the cockpit view appears, the screen changes secondly between the cockpit view and a screen, which shows the blue sky with some cloud textures and an endless water surface in the lower half. Different tests with other aircraft, program and computer restart, did not solve the problem. On the other hand, my DCS simulator works normal in the VR mode. The latter tells me, that the last update of FS2020 installed a logic error in the program. Did anybody experience the same error and has probably a solution?

in hope of an enlightenment

To all, who have a similar problem,
I finally found the reason for this flickering bug. On the Pimax Support page:
MS Flight Sim 2020 Pimax Setup Guide : Pimax Support
I found some configuration advices for my hardware composition (which is almost my standard configuration). On simple difference exists to my config, which is Smart Smoothing in the Pimax Configuration. Before the world update 11 it worked perfect with Smart Smoothing enabled. After the update it has to be switched off to stop this flickering. Nevertheless, I am convinced that this is a logic bug in FS2020. Probably a frame buffer timing mismatch, because there are two different scenes visible. The ocean view and the cockpit view.
But finally I got my system running.
Thanks for your help
