FSX FS9 bgl's does not show lightmap

Hello guys!

I've a strange problem. We are trying to convert a scenery from FS9 to FSX. Actually the FS9 scenery was created by us, so we do have all source files (gmax etc.). Normally FSX is able to show all objects which are FS9 format, only the objects which have alpha channel, effect etc. will not be rendered well. But basically they works. So we do not want to convert all objects only the problematic ones.
My problem is that in my FSX the lighmaps does not show up. So during nights all objects which have fs9 format does not have textures, just the "gmax colors". But at daylight everything is okay. I've asked from some of my friends to test it and they do have textures during night. All of us have FSX with SP2.

I have win 7 64 bit. FSX deluxe SP2 + FSX SDK SP2.

What can be the problem?

Thank you!

Hi,

Just to rule it out, do you not have the DirectX 10 preview option turned on?

It may be worth stepping through the workflow for the problem models

For example, are you using FS9 materials and exporting using the FSX Gamepack? Are you converting them to FSX materials?

In FSX native materials, the Ambient slot is not used.

Instead for night illumination, the Texture will need to be in the Self Illumination slot.

Thanks for the help.

The objects are simple FS9 bgl's (copy paste from FS9). So exported with FS2004 gamepack and compiled with FS9 bglcompiler.

I think the problem will be the direct X thing what Arno said, but I can try it only in the evening.

Thanks for the help anyway!
