FSDS 3.5 boolean error

I am trying to use the boolean feature to cut out windows on my fuselage. I keep getting an "Error on boolean part" when I try to perform the function. I have both the tube running through the fuselage and have them both selected before performing the cutout but isn't working. I have the tube named tool and it is closed at both ends and wondering as to why I keep getting this error? Can someone help?

In FSDS the boolean opeartion is quirky at best. If the tool isn't "right" ... it won't catch.

When I absolutely need a boolean cut to be done, *I* export the part into gmax, abuse it there, and port it back to FSDS.

When it works, it has the advantage that it keeps the original part and tool intact, so you discard the boolean results you don't want and can keep cutting away from the original part.

On the other hand, I avoid boolean operations as much as possible!
