FSXA FSX Reflective Style Windows

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to make windows have that "Reflective Style" on them. Like what you can see on all the FSX service cars?

I done a few searches but with no luck.

Thanks for your help

Aaron

I dont remember much from the days when I was using FSDS but I m certain that you would need to assign this property to the texture itself. Try going to the texture name in FSDS--->edit and there you should tick a box that says something like 'Reflective'. This would allow FSDS to assign the reflective property to that texture (i.e. window texture)

The FSX material settings involve:

Use Global envrionment map as reflection
Modulate by Inverse of Diffuse Alpha

Thus -- darker alpha will increase reflection.

I am unsure what you need to alter in FSDS (Max / Gmax user here) .. but you can probably alter these TweakFSDS if they are unavailable in the main interface.

Thanks for your replies, i'll try this tonight. I found the box where you can tick the Reflective property, same as with night textures, but I was un-aware I needed the alpha as well.

I'll let you know how it goes

Thanks again :)

Aaron
