• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Text Coloring

Hi,

I am new and don't know if this is the place to ask, however I got to start somewhere.

I have been able to customize the general text of the in-flight information as far as color, positon and the like with one exception.

The line of text that displays general info (TextInfo.??) for the Lat, Lon, Hdg,
etc...

Because of the text size and font, the red is really hard for me to see. Can't this be changed or is it hard-coded, unlike the rest of the text displayed through the fsx.cfg file.

If I need to ask this in a different section, let me know.

Hi,

As far as I know the colour is hardcoded.

Oh well

Hi Arno,:)

:o You know I was afraid of that, but they let you have access to all of the other text bodies and they even let you move the text lines in question up and down from where their default is. As I am sure your aware that if you have the line of information displayed and a banner message comes in it is right on top of the info text. You can relocate the info text lines within the top 6 lines of the window. Just make sure that the third key press of the "shift+z" does not put the two lines of information on the 6th line or you lose one of them.

Thanks anyway One can always hope.

Have a Great Day
