• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi,

Maybe im blind or what ever but i didn't find a Problem like mine until now.

I try to explain it with my poor english.

I am building again or still at EDAC (Leipzig-Altenburg Airport) an tried to build the Terminal. But everytime i try to export the model i get errors over errors.

Library Creator XML also has Problems with it then.

I don't know anymore what to do with it.
here some Pictures from the export process or what's left of it

please, help me, i don't know what to do anymore. after the last (yellow) window it stops the Export Process.

All I see are "Warnings" about "Degenerate Polys." These used to be called "Co-located vertices" in FS9's exporter.

These won't prevent a compiled .mdl file though...

The "Mixed Materials" message is also only a warning. Either click on "Yes" to export Standard Materials as FSX, or use the Material Editor/Manager to convert all your Materials to "FSX Materials."

When solving one Problem, you get twice as many new :( or something like that.

Okay.. I'm trying to make it short.

When i export a .mdl file and add it in ADE for my FSX scenrey i only see black Polys but not a Texture where i added one. How come and how could i maybe solve this Problem.

Did you convert your bitmap to DDS/DXT1 or DDS/DXT5?

Did you place your .mdl in a ..\scenery folder, and the bitmaps in a ..\texture folder?
 
.dds yes.. but in DXT3 i changed it now to DXT1a DXT1c and DXT5 copied and it to a \texture folder but the only thing that happened was that the black poly is now dark gray.

Note: i created the .dds file with DDS Converter 2 the texture itself is created with GIMP and saved as .psd. i took the .psd file an put it on the Model in gmax. Maybe the extra info is usefull
 
Did you remember to flip the bitmap vertically before saving as DDS/DXT1 or 5?
