Hi Guys, and what ever might sit behind those screens..

Im working on a scenery, and everything has been going splendid the whole day, untill i came across one of my buildings, that has 2 different textures on it.

Only the one part is showed in FS, but, the other is applied, and have the same filename indexeed colors and all that stuff! ( I have dobblechecked!)

Hope you have any solutions, as i dont want to retexture the whole thing! :banghead:

Else its just running on tracks! - Using charts from the Civil Aircraft Administration, as reference, achiving a 100% correct airport :D

multimaterials can be flakey. I've gotten frustrated with the concept, seems to be more work than its worth. If you select the polygons for the second material and detach them, they can be textured as a seperate part.

Or you can make multimaterials work...in which case you are patient.

I had a model refuse to display one of the two materials in GMAX!...but displayed perfectly in fs...imagine.

I have same problem...in Gmax only a material displayed, in Fs sometimes yes, sometimes no :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well what I do is select the object and then convert it to editable poly, select the proper polygon and then re-select a new material in the material editor, mapping it as you would a new object.

Then collapse all and go ont o the next polygon, etc.

Hope this helps. :duck:

Problem is that its the way i have made it.. Dont figure why it does, but well, its Gmax :banghead:

Found the problem! It was the Material, where the texture wasn't assigned to the diffuse channel, but the ambient colour.

Now it looks a whole lot better '

Enjoy! Ill cock some more scenery into FS :stirthepo
