Hi!

I was using the Ground Poly Converter Wizard and the following error(s) occured: (see attached txt)

Any ideas why? When I compile a simple MDL I don't get those errors...

Hi,

I haven't seen this error before. It seems there is something wrong with the level of detail in the model. Let me check how these are used in the GPW with the P3D output.

Hi,

I had a look at the code involved, but I don't see something directly that relates to this error.

Does it happen with any ground polygons you try to export or only this specific one?

Edit: just checked the error log again and it seems to be related to the crashtree. Crash detection for ground polygon doesn't make much sense, so you can try to disable it in the options and see if that solves it.

Thank you for your replies Arno,

Ok I disabled crashtree; but I still get errors (Log attached)

The MDL file used was made with GMAX. Compiling a GP for FSX does work, but there are a lot of issues :/

Is there a way to make Ground polygons manually? I tried the earth correction tool and placed it via the placement tool that model converter x provides. But then I am not able to assign textures to a particular layer...

Hi,

I'm not sure where those errors come from. Now they point to the material list.

Making ground polygons manually can be done if you use the fs2002 gamepack. But then you'll have to do the correction for the curve of the earth manually.
