Hi!

I want to make some guages for my B737 - 800 panel in FS2004. But i can't find a good tutorial to start with:(... Do anyone know a good tutorial?

Sorry for my bad english:D!

/Jonas

Hello Jonas,

just have a look into the SDK, open the cab-file of a quite simple FS9-gauge and have a look into the XML-Code. That's the way I learned programming XML-gauges.

I've started to do one in c/c++ but i'm going to look at that too!

For C gauges, use Dai Griffith's most excellent book, sd2gau23.zip available at both avsim.com and flightsim.com... It is only its 23rd revision now, and Dai's working on rev24 now.

Also, see the extensive sticky posts in my Panel & Gauges forum at flightsim.com, as well as the relevant Wiki entries from there as well.

I just want to heap some praise for Dai and the incredibly usefullness of his tutorial. It is the "missing manual" for gauge programming that the SDK just doesn't give you.
